Your membership into the Access Health BenefitsPlus plan includes a unique global emergency assistance program provided by Assist America. The programme immediately connects you to qualified healthcare providers, hospitals, pharmacies and other services if you experience an emergency whilst traveling outside of your country of residence for up to 90 days.

Medical Referrals

The 24/7 Operations Center is staffed by trained, multilingual assistance personnel who can make immediate recommendations, for any emergency situation

Medical Monitoring

The assistance centre maintains regular communication with patients, their families and attending medical staff, closely monitoring the quality and course of treatment.

Emergency Medical Evacuation

If appropriate care is not available, we will safely evacuate the member to the nearest qualified medical facility.

Foreign Hospital Admission Assistance

The assistance services fosters prompt hospital admission by validating the members health insurance or advancing funds as needed to the hospital.

Medical Repatriation

When deemed medically necessary, the Access Health plan provides transportation home or to a specified health or rehabilitation facility near the members residence with a medical or non-medical escort as required.

Prescription Assistance

When a prescription is lost or left behind, the services works with the prescribing physician and a local pharmacy to replace the member’s medicine.

Travel Emergency Assistance

Compassionate Visit

We will arrange and pay for economy class roundtrip transportation for family member or a friend to join a member who is traveling alone and expected to be hospitalised for more than five days.

Care of Minor Children

If an injured member has minor children unattended, the service will pay for them to return home to a family member, or will arrange childcare locally or at home.

Return or Mortal Remains (0 kilometres)

Regardless of the distance from home, in the event that a member passes away, the service will arrange and pay for the required documents, preparation of the remains and transport to a funeral home near the members place of residence.

Lost Luggage or Document Assistance

The service will help members locate lost luggage, documents, or personal belongings.

Interpreter and Legal Referrals

The service will refer members to interpreters and/or legal personnel, as necessary.

Emergency Message Transmission

Worldwide international cover is standard. You not only have great cover in the UAE, but back home, and even when you are traveling abroad on business or holiday.

Pre-Trip Information

Members can access country profiles with visa requirements, immunisation and inoculation recommendations, as well as security advisories on our the Assist America website or the Mobile App.
